Saris SuperClamp EX Bike Rack Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Saris SuperClamp EX on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. A wheel-mounted bike carrier is gonna come in handy for you when you're looking for something that's not gonna make any contact with your frame. So there's no hook here on your top tube. You're just gonna have a hook on the front and rear that's gonna allow you to carry those carbon fiber bikes, bike that you just have a nice paint job and you don't want a contact to, or those unconventional frame bikes, like a step-through bike, for example. Another really cool feature, it's gonna allow you to have access to your cargo area. Yeah, kind of, I didn't want the push, but it's actually a lever that you pull, and it gives you a pretty decent tilt that's gonna allow you to get the hatch all the way open so you can get to the back of your Equinox pretty well. more

Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Carrier on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The NV 2.0 is a wheel-mounted bike carrier. So what that means is that the main support for the bike is gonna be this hook on the front wheel, and you have a strap on the rear cradle. That's gonna allow you to secure your bike without having any contact to the top tube. Essentially what that's gonna work best for is gonna be bikes that have carbon fiber frames or unconventional frames like step-through bikes. I'm gonna push the lever in here, and we're gonna tilt our carrier to check out the access to our cargo hatch with our bikes loaded. more

Swagman E-Spec Electric Bike Rack Review - 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Swagman E-Spec on our 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe. The E-Spec is a frame-mounted bike carrier, meaning that you're gonna have a padded hook on your cross-tube and straps on your front and rear cradle to secure your bike to the carrier. Now, if you have a carbon-fiber bike or unconventional frame, like a step-through bike, this isn't gonna necessarily be the best option for you. You may wanna go with a wheel-mounted bike carrier. However, if those aren't things that you're working with, then this will be a great opportunity to get some bikes on the road with you for your adventure. The E-Spec does not tilt, so you will not be able to access the back of your Tahoe when you're loaded up with bikes. more

Swagman Dispatch 2 Bike Rack Review - 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Swagman Dispatch on our 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe. The dispatch is a frame mounted carrier that supports your bike by putting a padded hook on your cross tube and having straps and cradles for your front and rear tire. So what this is gonna do is stabilize your bike with three points of contact. However, if you have a carbon fiber bike or a step through bike or maybe even just a nice paint job you don't want contact to, a frame mounted bike carrier may not be the option. You may wanna lean more towards a wheel mount. If that's not an issue, the Dispatch is a great option to get your bikes out on the road with you. more

Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Chevrolet Express Van- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're talking about the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Bike Rack in the back of our 2022 Chevrolet Express van. Now this is be a great option if you are hauling a lot of people and maybe some of them are riding on bikes. You are gonna have the ability to storm 'em somewhere and get 'em from point A to point B. So let's check it out. The first thing I wanna point out is how close our bike does sit to the back of our van. Now we typically have our bike on the closest cradle, but today we got on the second closest one and that's because our handlebar is actually making contact when we do have it on the closest cradle. more

Yakima OnRamp E-Bike Platform Rack with Ramp Review - 2023 Chevrolet Blazer- Video
How's it going, this is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima OnRamp on the 2023 Chevy Blazer. So let's take a closer look at the OnRamp's contact points on the frame itself. Right here in the center mast, there's a zip strap type connector. You're also gonna have two straps and cradles for your wheels on the actual tray itself. If you have a bike that is carbon fiber or maybe something that has a step-through bike or something that's unconventional, you may want to go with a wheel mount 'cause it's not making any contact to the frame. RockyMounts AfterParty Swing Away 2 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Chevrolet Blazer- Video
How's it going y'all This is Ed here at etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the RockyMounts AfterParty swing away bike carrier on our 2023 Chevrolet Blazer. All right, now this guy can support bikes up to 60 pounds per bike, and one of the really cool features of it is the fact that not only does it tilt away, it also tilts out, well, opens out, so you can access the rear of your vehicle without having to take your bikes off. Now, the AfterParty, this guy is gonna be a wheel mount bike carrier. Now why would you need a wheel mount carrier If you have a bike that's has carbon fiber in the frame or unconventional style, a wheel mount's gonna be the best way to secure your bike to your carrier, because it makes no contact to the frame and all this area wouldn't matter as far as, you know, maybe a frame mount style bike carrier. You can make adjustments as far as the different wheel size. And as far as your tilt feature, underneath here, there's a blue handle. more

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 2 Bike Rack Review - 2019 Chevrolet Traverse- Video
How's it goin' today This is Ed with etrailer.com, and we're takin' a look at the Sport Rider SE on the back of the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. So, the Sport Rider is actually a really solid e-bike carrier. It has a weight capacity of up to 80 pounds per bike. One thing I think is a con is the fact that, you know, you would have to lift up your bike to get it up to this higher platform on your Traverse. As far as the contact, you have three points of contact on the bike from the carrier, two straps on your wheel cradles, as well as your padded hook. If you have a carbon fiber bike or something that has a nice paint job or, you know, a step through bike or anything like that, you may wanna look towards a wheel-mounted option. more

Yakima StageTwo 2 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
How's it going everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo platform-style bike rack on our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. As I mentioned, it is a platform-style bike rack capable of supporting up to 70 pounds per bike, holding our bike predominantly by this wheel hook here and an additional strap on the back tire. It's nice that our rack holds onto our bike using this wheel hook, because that means there's no frame contact with our bike itself, so in the event that you're using a carbon frame bike or an alternative frame bike, it doesn't make any contact with the frame, so it won't damage your frame while you're driving. Another nice feature are the integrated cable locks right in the top of the hook here, so you can just wrap it around the frame of your bike and connect it right here on the front there to keep everything secure. Another great feature that this rack offers is the ability to tilt it away, holding onto the rack itself, pulling that black lever down there at the bottom, gives us plenty of clearance. more

The Saris Freedom is a platform style bike rack capable of holding two bikes up to 60 pounds each, which is pretty impressive considering its small form factor. And it's gonna be holding our bike primarily through these padded rotating center mast hook clamps. One thing to note is that because it is holding the bike by the frame, you're probably gonna want to avoid using carbon frame bikes because you wanna avoid any sort of frame contact with those. And for alternative style bikes, the fact that they rotate and move up and down should be fine, but something to keep in mind. more

Swagman Current 2 Electric Bikes Rack Review - 2020 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
How's it going everyone Ethan with etrailer here, today to show you the Swagman Current two platform bike rack on our 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. So the first thing we wanna highlight about this rack is the weight capacity. It's able to support up to two bikes of 60 pounds each, so around 120 total. One of the benefits of this bike rack is that whether you're using the inch and a quarter or two-inch receiver tubes you'll still be able to support the full weight. So getting into how this frame actually holds onto our bikes here, as you can see, they have these padded hooks that support the bikes via the frame. So maybe not your best choice if you're using a carbon frame or an alternative style frame, just 'cause it might not hold onto the frame the way you want it to. more

What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out, the Thule Hitching Post Pro, on our 2022 Chevrolet Traverse. It's gonna be a very popular bike rack, for the hanging style, which means it's gonna hold the bike by the frame itself, so that does eliminate some bikes, that's gonna thrown up there, I wouldn't throw a carbon fiber up here, it could damage that, but for saving space on the rack itself, and making it easier to use, the hanging styles being great for four bikes. Now, they do get a little close if you have it fully loaded, and there might be some swinging back and forth, so just be careful of that, but they do have precautions built in. Let's take a closer look here. So, there's gonna be a strap, on the down tube here on the frame, that's gonna help keep that movement side to side, to a minimum when you're going on the road. more

If you're looking to haul some really heavy e-bikes the Hollywood rack sport rider is gonna be the ideal one just because it has 80 pounds per bike capacity. So that's quite a bit also something else to kind of think about is the other bikes that you might wanna put on here. It does have frame contact, as you can see right here but we have two different sleeves. One is gonna be more of a rubberized sleeve and then the other one's gonna be foam. So you don't have to worry about your bikes, getting scratched up. If you have a mountain bike, downhill bike or even just a road bike. more

Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack for 4 Bikes on the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. So this is your platform-style rack that's gonna allow you to carry up to four bikes and the versatility is great because of the weight capacity and the fact that it is being held by a front wheel mount, so you can carry those carbon fiber frame bikes or any odd shape type frames. On the back two rails, you're gonna be able to carry up to 60 pounds per bike and then on the outermost two, you're gonna be able to carry up to 40 pounds per bike. One of the many great features about this rack is that it does tilt away. Keep in mind that you could potentially be burying the weight of 200 pounds. It makes it easier to lift up a little so pull this lever out, but that way you can lower it down. more

Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we'll be taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo 2-Bike Platform Rack right here on our 2014 Chevrolet Malibu. So this is a bike rack for class 2 inch-and-1/4 hitch receivers. So if you have an inch-and-1/4 hitch receiver, you know that you have limited options for your vehicle. So for example, on the Malibu, that was the hitch we have on there, but if you also have heavy electric bikes large mountain bikes, bikes of different shapes and sizes, and you just want a good solution to carrying them around, that's where the Yakima StageTwo comes in handy. It has all those different features, those different specs, and we'll talk about them, but we're gonna focus on our Malibu today. The Yakima StageTwo is a very nice and premium bike rack and it looks awesome on our 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. If you really are going for the looks and you really want a premium bike rack this is gonna be the one for you. It kind of competes with the Kuat Sherpa which is a very popular rack, and why Is because we have two different colors so we have gray right here, but you can also get black. So that's kind of cool. You could pick, so you can really kind of customize your style. I really like the gray, but the cool thing about this is it is gonna give us 60 pounds per bike which is kind of a lot. more

Thule T2 Pro X Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Malibu- Video
What's up everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be check out the Thule T2 Pro X. It's gonna be a platform-style bike rack, and we're gonna be putting it on our 2014 Chevrolet Malibu. So this is gonna be a platform-style bike rack like I said, it's gonna hold the bikes by the wheels. So that's nice. I really like that compared to some of the other platform-style, where they have the center mass here, that really gets in the way when you go to load the bike or take the bike off. more

Yakima HangTight 4 Bike Rack Review - 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima Hang Tight on my 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe. If you're looking to get six bikes to and from your destination, the vertical style bike rack like the hang tight is gonna be a really really cool way to do so it's gonna turn some heads, one thing I love about it, is it looks pretty sick. So, whether you're just bringing the whole entire family and you wanna have a bike for all of them, whether you're bringing a couple buddies and you want to bring two bikes for each of them or also, if you just own a business, it's super quick to load up and there's plenty of spacing between there. So, for the business owners out there especially when your clients bring their own bikes you don't really have to worry about there being not enough room for 'em, It's quick, it's easy. And it just gets you up and down the hill or the trail a lot quicker. When we we're loading up the Hang Tight we didn't have any issues when it comes to clearance. more

Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack Review - 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
The Hollywood Racks Destination E brings a lot of cool features to the table. And today we're gonna be taking a look at it on our 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. To start things off, this thing can carry 70 pounds per bike. This little knob is kind of hidden away right here. All we have to do is loosen this up a little bit, and we're gonna pull this out. And then this whole entire, whole entire assembly tilts like that, which is kind of crazy. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe KU84FR- Video
The Kuat Transfer is one of my favorite bike racks and it's definitely an entry level rack. And if you have a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe you're in the right spot. We're gonna be taking a look at it on this vehicle specifically. The nice thing about this thing is we have two different types. We have one that could fit in an inch and a quarter or a two inch, and that's gonna give us 40 pounds per bike but you can get just the two inch hitch receiver option of the Transfer, and it'll go all the way up to 60 pounds per bike. So for some of those electric bikes you could use this one in the two inch only configuration and be able to get those e-bikes to end from the trail. more

So the Kuat Transfer is a great bike rack if you want that unique goal post design. That makes it a lot easier to mount and dismount your bikes. The version I have right here is actually the inch and 1/4 shank with the included 2-inch hitches adapter. So whether you have an inch-and-1/4 hitch receiver or a 2-inch hitch receiver on your Chevrolet Equinox, this is gonna work out for you. Rhino Rack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
We're gonna be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack 2 hanging style bike rack on our 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. If you're looking just to have a very entry level rack to get two bikes to and fro, this is gonna be a pretty good candidate. Rhino-Rack does make a decent amount of nice features. But with this one we are gonna have a capacity of 33 pounds. So if you do have any heavier bikes than that, it's not gonna be the best for you. If you do have some carbon fiber frame bikes, since we do have frame contact, it's not ideal for those carbon fiber bikes. more

Hi everyone, Charles here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the Yakima RidgeBack 4-bike rack for four bikes for an inch and a quarter and two inch hitches on the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. So this is your hitch mounted hanging style bike rack that's gonna allow you to carry up to four bikes of up to 40 pounds per bike. It is made out of a steel construction making it durable and it does have a chip resistant powder coat finish. So we have three attachment points. Two on the top of the frame and one down here for its anti-sway feature. more
